The Virginia Tech Information System is designed to allow EMPLOYEES to browse the course catalog of all courses offered by University Leadership Development (ULD) through New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Greensboro, NC. All classes offered by ULD will be posted in the Course Catalog for each semester. Each individual class scheduled will be issued a course number which students can use to enroll in a class. Each student may enroll in a maximum of 3 classes per semester, and may be waitlisted for up to 3 classes per semester. For additional information or questions contact vtech@newhorizonsgso.com.
If you attended a New Horizons computer training class in the academic year 2004-2005 and have not attended a class since then, your username will be your email address and your password will be hokie (all lower case); i.e. student@vt.edu password: hokie
The Office Software Skills certification program was established as a professional development program for staff. The university occasionally may allow faculty and graduate assistants to participate when spaces are available. Given the large demand for these classes, we have created a priority guideline for registration. The guideline specifies that staff and regular wage employees will have first priority for registration; however, other VT employees who are interested in taking classes may register and will be placed on a waiting list until spaces become available.
